A Cool New Inventions for Fish Farms
I think this is another one of those cool inventions you might get a kick out of. I had never thought about fish farming until I was asked to help build a website for a company that built fish farms. As I was researching to create the website, I found out that the company, Opposing Flows Technology had created one of those cool new inventions that really makes a difference in the field they are in. Their invention causes air to move in the water in opposing flows which helps to remove the solids from the water which can cause problems in the fish farm. This makes the process of keeping the water filtered much less labor intensive then it use to be. Another advantage of the opposing flows of air in the water is that creates a continual current in the tank which causes the fish in the tanks to constantly swim upstream. This constant swimming motion causes the fish to metabolize the high protein feed into flesh which causes a higher yield in the fish tanks.

A Cool New Invention for Your Headlights
I have found something that I think is worth including in the cool inventions category. It is neat little kit that restores the plastic headlight lens on your car back to looking like new. I was not aware that there was even a need for something like this until I decided to try and find out why I was having so much trouble seeing at night while I was driving. I looked at my headlights and the lenses were all cloudy and yellow. I started doing a little research online and found out that this was a problem that nine out of ten cars have to deal with. It has something to do with the way the headlight lenses are manufactured. They are made of plastic and the coating that they put on them initially breaks down over time because of heat. When it breaks down the lenses get cloudy and reduce the effectiveness of the headlight.
I started looking around and sure enough, there are a lot of cars that have really cloudy headlight lenses. Replacing the headlight lenses is expensive, but fortunately someone came up with one of those cool new inventions that fixes the problem for about twenty bucks. An Awesome Cool New Invention
As far as cool new inventions go, this is awesome. I wasn’t sure whether to categorize it as a cool invention or a new invention so I went with both. The videogame industry has become a leader in innovation in entertainment. The Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, and XBOX 360 have become household names in the last four years. The Nintendo Wii’s innovation was motion sensor controllers which simplified game play for non hardcore gamers. The Wii has found its way into households with games like Wii fit which get people off the couch to play video games. The Playstation 3’s innovation was incorporating Blu-Ray DVD capabilities into a gaming machine. When Blu-Ray first came out, the Playstation 3 was the most affordable Blu-ray machine at the time. The XBOX 360 has tried many different innovations to give it an edge, but none have been as impressive as the other two consoles.
However the 360’s biggest innovation looks to be coming this holiday season. Project Natal is going to be the gift every 360 owner wants, and every family is going to be looking at with great interest. Project Natal uses motion sensor technology that allows players to directly interact with their games. This may seem like it is no different than the Wii’s innovation, but the main difference is that Project Natal games will not require the use of a controller. This may be weird for a longtime gamer but there are going to be some pretty radical experiences with this technology. Imagine playing a game where the characters remember your name and recognize your face and voice.
Project Natal promises to deliver these kinds of experiences. The demo video (check kit out below) shows a family playing a series of games using the Natal. The first is a game with a karate master- recognized the real life person who walked into the living room to play the game, and called him by his first name. The Natal recognized every movement the boy made in the fighting game. Imagine a video game based workout session like a sparring match! Another example was a racing game where the young lady driving the race car simply held her hands like she was holding a steering wheel. When it came time for her to make a pit stop, the father got up out of his seat, changed the tire with a series of realistic movements, finished the stop, and the driver went on her way.
Project Natal will completely revolutionize the way entertainment systems are run. Imagine being able to navigate through menus simply by moving your hands, playing sports without ever having to go outside, and driving with no car. Project Natal promises to deliver that. Today’s world is getting closer to the Jetsons’ future everyday!
